Steve Locke, Rhys Oldfield and Leigh Miller’s Be At One Group is to open its first late-night venue in the West End, in Russell Street, Covent Garden.
The Piper-backed cocktail bar chain has taken an assignment of the existing lease from upbeat Tex-Mex concept Los Locos, right on the edge of the world-famous piazza.
The 1,869 sq ft new venue at 24-26 Russell Street, WC2, is set to open in mid-October. It will be Be At One’s very first all-time late-night venue which will be open until 3am Monday-Saturday and until 12.30am on Sundays.
The 17-strong group’s first venue outside London was in Reading which is trading very well. It is also set to acquire the 1,960 sq ft Cube Bar in Brighton, and is in advanced talks on a further regional site. It plans to have 23 sites by the end of March.
Restaurant Property advised on Be At One on both the Los Locos and Cube Bar acquisitions.
Restaurant Property agency director David Rawlinson said: “Be At One has come along way since its first venue in 1998 at Battersea Rise. Londoner’s have lapped up Be At One’s cocktail offering and service style, and this has provided a great platform for the group to consider extending its focus outside the capital.”
