Kricket

Following the success of the original at Pop Brixton, Chef Will Bowlby and front of house Rik Campbell, the founders, have brought Kricket to the heart of Soho with their new opening on Denmark Street.

Kricket Soho is a much larger site than the original, fitting in 70 people across two floors. Dining takes place on communal tables on the lower level, or at a kitchen counter in the ground floor bar area, which offers a seasonally-changing range of six Indian-inspired cocktails. The kitchen counter is reserved for walk-ins, but bookings can be taken downstairs for groups of four or more and there is also a semi-private dining area for large groups.

Kricket’s menu of modern Indian small plates has been hugely successful and highly rated by the critics too, with many of the south London favourites making a West End transfer. There is also plenty of new dishes as part of an extended menu made possible by the increase in space.

On the menu is:

• House-made Goan sausage fry, coriander chutney, peanuts & pickled fennel
• Delica pumpkin, makhani sauce, fresh paneer, hazelnut crumble, puffed wild rice
• Cornish crab meen moilee, castlefranco, peanuts
• Bone marrow & cep kulcha

Regulars will be glad to know that signatures such as Kricket’s samphire pakoras, and Keralan Fried Chicken are still available.

Kricket’s new home has been designed by Run for The Hills, featuring an impressive interior mural from British Indian artist Natasha Kumar.
