    Oystermen

After a 10 month residency in South Kensington, the oyster experts have found a permanent home in Covent Garden. The Seafood Bar & Kitchen has opened on Henrietta Street with fresh oysters and seafood from all corners of the British Isles.

Nothing quite screams the good life like tucking into champagne and oysters for a tenner, which you’ll now be able to do. Smart seafood fans will definitely want to time at least part of their visit to fall within ‘Bubbles n’ Oysters’ Happy Hour from 3-5pm when you’re able to get six oysters and a glass of Crémant du Bourgogne fizz for an exceptionally reasonable £10.

Not only can you expect oysters done every which way, from freshly-shucked in the half-shell to buffalo-barbecued and Cajun-battered but there’s plenty on offer outside of the oysters such as; mussels, south coast crab, shellfish platters, daily fresh fish specials and home-cured, smoked and pickled fish like Whiskey and Oak Smoked Trout. Alongside a specially curated wine list and an oyster stout brewed in collaboration with Canopy Beer Co, this place ticks all the boxes.

Co-founder Matt Lovell said: “The launch of The Oystermen Seafood Bar & Kitchen is the next natural step in delivering our fun, friendly and fresh concept to the wider London audience. We have spent a lot of time sourcing brilliant products and ingredients through independent suppliers, and also in selecting the team that will deliver only the best consistently.”

Co-founder Rob Hampton added: “The feedback and footfall at our events, and most notably our residency in ‘South Kensington-on –Sea’, has given us the extra confidence in being able to translate our vision into reality. As a team, we are more than excited to take the brand and business to the next level and relish the opportunity to continue growing and developing in such a strong market. Bring on ‘Covent Garden-on-Sea’!”
