Restaurant Property, nationwide leisure specialists, cycled in true British spirit from Brighton to London. With Team GB reaping success at the Olympics and winning Tour de France for the last two years, Restaurant Property decided it was time to be a part of the legacy that athletes like Bradley Wiggins and Victoria Pendleton have created for our Nation.
Yesterday, Thursday 29th August, a team of athletic property specialists departed from Brighton Pier at 11.30am for Restaurant Property’s first annual cycle event. The 52 mile bike ride saw the participants travel over Ditchling Beacon into the rolling countryside, down rocky roads stopping quickly for a spot of lunch at The Dog & Duck and finishing at The Windmill in Clapham.
Mark Calder from Restaurant Property was the first over the line for Stage 1 with a time of only 1hr 46mins. James Feltham of Nash Bond won the sprint finish of Stage 2 crossing the line in 3hr 35mins.
Mark Calder added, “This was an exceptional day out on the bike with perfect conditions. There will be some sore legs this morning but I hope there will also be a sense of achievement. I can’t wait to start planning the next ride.”
