Roger Sharpley at DE & J Levy has been elected as chairman of the Restaurant Property Advisors Society.

Sharpley, who has over 30 years’ experience in the sector, has previously chaired the body which provides specialist advice on restaurants and licensed leisure property.

Jason Grant, outgoing chairman of the RPAS, said: “I very much enjoyed my tenure as chairman. It’s been a fantastic year with four great dinners and a special 20th anniversary of the RPAS event held at Davis Coffer Lyons. There has been particularly strong demand for restaurants especially in central London which has been buoyed by an influx of international entrants. The limited supply means prices and rents continue to rise. Now more than ever landlords and restaurateurs need to seek the specialist property advice of a member of the RPAS.”

Steve Bagatti of Selsian was appointed honorary treasurer and Graham Campbell of Fleurets is the new honorary secretary.
