Restaurant Property has advised the owner on the sale of the freehold of The Mandarin Star Peking and Cantonese restaurant off Fulham Road SW6.
The circa 1650 sq ft building consisting of 780 sq ft ground floor restaurant and two upper residential stories was bought by developer Irwell (TR) Limited for £850,000.
Restaurant Property’s head of sales Mark Calder said: “This is a great neighbourhood restaurant site which we were able to sell within in a week of it coming on to our books. The client was particularly pleased as it had been on the books of another property agency for more than nine months and had attracted very little interest.
“We are finding that there is an increasing demand for more suburban located restaurants that have strong residential catchments. An interesting cuisine or a slightly different approach can often be all that is
needed to reinvigorate certain sites that might have previously been regarded a bit jaded or tired.”
