    Sexy Fish, Mayfair

    Opens October 19th 2015

London’s newest opening is the Asian-inspired fish and seafood restaurant, entitled ‘Sexy Fish’. The chef behind the menu is young Brit Ben Orpwood who has previous experience of working at Zuma Istanbul and Dubai. His debut dishes will include; Isle of Man Queenie scallops with ponzu and yuzu ‘snow’, as well as ‘Japrese’ salads of tomato, marinated tofu, shiso and sherry vinegar. The bar at this much anticipated new opening, also boasts the largest collection of Japanese whiskies in Europe.

Incredible amounts have been spent by The Caprice Group in transforming a former NatWest bank branch into one of London’s most luxurious restaurants. The immense 190-cover restaurant includes décor such as; 20 ‘fish lamps’; a four-metre-long black-silicone alligator by Frank Gehry; three Damien Hirst sculptures; 100 tonnes of Iranian onyx on the floor; a hand-printed ceiling designed by Michael Roberts, Style Editor-at-Large of Vanity Fair and the world’s largest live coral reef tank which is located in the private dining room downstairs which will house up to 100 species. This new venture will surely be a feast for the eyes as well as the taste-buds.

David Rawlinson of Restaurant Property who advised the Lancer Asset Management said “this was the most competed site in London for the last 10 years”.
