University pals, chef Will Palmer and restaurant manager Ian Campbell are opening their first venture in the centre of Covent Garden on September 12th. After university, Ian went on to become an accomplished chef with experience as a pastry chef at the Michelin star La Riebaudiere in France and more recently as a Sommelier for The Conran Group whereas Will managed the boutique Berkeley Square Hotel in Bristol.
The 10 Cases is an unpretentious, European bistro-like concept based around a wine list of 10 white wines and 10 red wines and 10 cases of each. Once the 10 cases run out the wine is changed so that there is always something new. The wine accompanies a menu of three starters, three mains and three tarts for desserts that change every day, along with a salad and a ‘signature dish that don’t, all immaculately put together by ex Coq D’argent chef Juette Shallow.
