1. Queen of Hoxton
This stalwart of the Shoreditch bar scene is crowned with a great space on its roof. For those not already aware, during the winter its owners turn the rooftop into a rustic winter wonderland called “Woodlandia”, complete with open flames, hot boozy drinks and a giant wigwam for some indoor warmth.

2. The Old Truman Brewery
If there’s one place that is maxing out on its Christmas party capacity it’s The Old Truman Brewery. For two weeks it plays host to Professor Trumans Magical Laboratory – a themed party that gathers up to 1,200 guests from different businesses every night. The nutty professor of the list.

3. Grain Store
With two Christmas menus available in December, Grain Store is looking to take the title of best Christmas restaurant on Granary Square. After a drink on arrival, visitors will enjoy food such as Endive, fruit vinaigrette, smoked salmon mousse, or wild fruit puree, potted cabbage, parsnip crisps, bacon, roast partridge and sausage. Delicious.

4. The Portobello Star
For those planning to wrap-up and take a wonder down Portobello Road to find some last minute presents, we suggest popping into the Portobello Star. Its “Ginstitute” lets you blend and bottle your own gin, and sample a few tipples along the way. They also serve a great Portobello pie.

5. Circus
