Launched by four Texans that have a passion for their hometown flavours alongside Head Chef Andrew Justice, a quarter finalist of Master Chef the professionals 2010, the team at The Lockhart have created their twist on southwestern dishes by using iconic flavours from Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico whilst cooking with the best of UK’s local and seasonal ingredients.
Co-owner, Gwen Wren comments: “While attending a culinary school in London I was inspired to elevate the food I grew up with in the Southwest US using high quality British ingredients. We are excited to be offering our concept of Southwest US cuisine to the London restaurant scene and thrilled to feature the best of what the UK has to offer.”
Mark Calder, head of sales at Restaurant Property, who acted for the Portman Estate, said: “The Portman Village has established quite a reputation as a foodie haven. This has been carefully cultivated by selecting unique independent operators. High-end south-western cuisine will be a very popular attraction and we can’t wait to eat there.”
